Great Plains Structures is the authorized storage tank dealer in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Western Missouri, Western Wisconsin and Wyoming for CST Industries Inc. (formerly A.O. Smith’s Engineered Storage Products Company of DeKalb, IL). Great Plains Structures will provide new storage tank and geodesic dome sales, construction, and service for the brands that owners and operators have trusted for decades, including Aquastore, TecTank and CST Covers (formerly Temcor/Conservatek) domes and covers.

The GPS Team has a long history in the business, consisting of individuals that have 75 combined years of experience.
This team has provided technical sales, project management, and construction services for more than 600 bolted tank and cover installations for CST Industries Inc.
The GPS team members are proud to continue their professional careers installing and supporting CST Industries’ product line which is made exclusively in the USA.
Jason has over 20 years of municipal and industrial contracting experience building tank projects across 19 states. Jason has experience in the combined sales and construction of over 1,000 turn-key glass-fused-to-steel, CST Industries, premium brand Aquastore, Tecstore, and HydroTec storage tank projects. Jason has a master’s degree in Business Administration from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Construction Management from Minnesota State University in Mankato, Minnesota in 1999. Jason has also served as President on the board for CST Industries’ North American Association of Independent Municipal and Industrial Tank Dealers.
Bill Barr, former Director of Project Management for Engineering America, Inc., has over 20 years of municipal and industrial project management and construction experience with water storage tanks and over 25 years’ experience in the construction industry. Bill and his project management team were instrumental in providing turn-key service to owners and engineers on water storage tank projects across a 19 state territory. Bill and his partners at Great Plains Structures (GPS), are carrying their experience and support of CST Industries’ storage tank product line forward with Glass-Fused-to-Steel Aquastore tanks.
Bill earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Northern Iowa, in Cedar Falls, Iowa in 1996. He has completed additional coursework in AutoCad Drafting, Management and Leadership, and Construction Safety.
Rob has spent the last 35 years working in the municipal and industrial water and wastewater industry in the Upper Midwest Region. During this time, he has been heavily involved in both the direct sales and operations of bolted storage tanks and water distribution systems. Rob has consistently provided customers, specifying engineers, and end users with proven detailed designs, efficient construction methods, guidance in water system operation, and critical maintenance for all types of bolted storage tanks.
Rob was born and raised in South Dakota and resides in Sioux Falls, SD. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.
Bob joined the Great Plains Structures Team in April of 2020. He brings 44 years in bank operations and data processing experience with him. Throughout his banking career he has held the positions of Vice President of Operations, President of Data Processing Services, and Chief Information Officer.
In his free time Bob enjoys watching Twins baseball with his wife and attending street rod shows. He is also a retired District Fire Chief where he spent 20 years leading his local fire department.
Marcus is a recent graduate of South Dakota State University. He received a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics. His time at SDSU, coupled with his experience as a Premier Financial Health Banker at Wells Fargo, played a pivotal role in his professional development. Marcus is a humble, honest, and energetic leader with a passion for exceptional customer service.
His greatest passion is spending time with his family and raising his twin daughters, Joy & Grace.
Mark has over 15 years’ experience working in the municipal water and heavy civil construction industries. Specific experience includes working as a laborer building Aquastore glass-fused-to-steel reservoirs and standpipes while attending Minnesota State University where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration. Mark has worked on large and small projects from the planning and design phases through construction and operation. Project experience that includes installation of rural water distribution pipeline; pumping and storage facilities; large diameter (up to 36”) transmission mains; and water treatment plant expansions and improvements.
Mark loves traveling with his wife Alexandria, and two daughters Charlotte, and Eleanor. He also enjoys being outdoors hunting, fishing, and gardening.
